How to Vote
1. Register or Check Your Registration

Make sure you are registered. If you’ve moved, changed your name, or need to update your address, do so by October 24, 2025.

You may register online via the Virginia Department of Elections or in person at the General Registrar’s Office.
2. Early Voting (In–Person)

When: September 19 through November 1, 2025.

Where: General Registrar’s Office (101 Court Circle, Warsaw, Virginia 22572, second floor)

Hours: 9 AM-5 PM Monday-Friday, plus two Saturdays before Election Day. Saturdays of early voting: October 25 &November 1 (also 9AM-5PM).

Bring acceptable ID — a government-issued ID, or another form allowed by state law.
3. Vote by Mail (Absentee Ballot)

You may request an absentee ballot by October 24, 2025.

Return your absentee ballot by mail or deliver in person to the Registrar’s Office OR in the drop- box located outside of the General Registrar's office before the deadline. (Please note this drop box is under 24/7 video and audio surveillance)
4. Vote on Election Day

Date: Tuesday, November 4, 2025

Time: 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. local polling places

Acceptable identification (Driver’s license, VA State ID, etc.)

If you received an absentee ballot ballot you have not returned, bring it with you — you are generally allowed to surrender it and vote in person.
FAQs
What happens if I arrive after 7:00 p.m on Election Day?
The polls close at 7:00 p.m. If you are in line by that time, you will be allowed to vote. If you arrive after, you cannot vote.
What if I need assistance getting to a polling place?
Contact the Registrar’s office ahead of time. Virginia law provides for assistance if needed due to disability, illness, or being confined.
What is a provisional ballot?
If there’s a question about your eligibility, you may be required to vote provisionally. The ballot is kept separate until eligibility is confirmed.
