The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office Communications Officers:
- Communications Officers attend the Rappahannock Regional Criminal Justice Academy Communications Basic Course. After that, they receive training in use of the Virginia Criminal Information Network and the National Criminal Information Center access.
- Communications Officers with the Richmond County Sheriff's Office receive 8,000 calls on average for service each year for law enforcement, fire, and emergency medical services throughout the county.
